Liverpool are still trying to sign a new contract with Konaté but so far there has been no progress, leading to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid being hopeful that they could make offers this summer.

“Hearing big clubs like that being interested is very flattering, but now I’m focusing on this season,” Konaté stated. “I want to win everything – take as many titles as possible and then everything that happens in relation to my contractual situation. It’s my agents, my advisors who take care of that.”
However, Liverpool are certainly reluctant to sell Konaté this summer unless current captain and centre-back Virgil van Dijk signs a new contract.
